Hello, I am Leïla Bessila, a PhD candidate at CEA Paris-Saclay, under the supervision of Dr. Stéphane Mathis.
I am studying astrophysical fluid dynamics with a focus on waves excitation, convection, and angular momentum transport in stars.

Stochastic excitation of acoustic modes with rotation and magnetism
In solar-like stars, acoustic modes are excited by turbulent convection in the envelope. I study how rotation and magnetism influence this excitation process, using semi-analytical modelling.
Rotating and Magnetised Convection
Convection is a fundamental process in stellar interiors, driving the transport of energy and angular momentum. I am particularly interested in how rotation and magnetic fields modify its dynamics.
